Hello Everyone,

The new featured game for the contest is Rise of Atlantis.

You may pause the game and take a break anytime by pressing the "Menu" button at the top of the game.

At the end of each level you come to a new screen with two buttons.

Press "Submit" to post your score and quit the game or press "Play" to continue on to the next level and play further.

While we complete our game security modifications, and anti-cheat
coding, the new contest starting January 16, 2008 will be a different.

It will also run until February 15, 2008 at exactly 9:00 PM EST to give us time to complete the programing.   After that time we plan to  revert back to our original rules format.

[b]To make it fair to all players, here are the new contest rules.[/b]

There will be three qualifying contest rounds for the prizes.

1) All members that play the featured contest game and get placed in
the top 15 at contest close will qualify to be placed in the the 100.00 first prize round.

2) All members that play the featured contest game and get placed in
the top 25 at contest close will qualify to be placed in the 50.00 second prize round.

3) All members that play the featured contest game and get placed in
the top 35 at contest close will qualify to be placed in the 25.00 third prize round.

Once a member has received one prize their account number will be removed from the next round.  All remaining qualifying members will be then placed in the next round until all three rounds are complete.

Therefore the higher the round you qualify for, the more probability you will receive a prize in one of the three rounds.

If you qualify for round 1, the chances of receiving a prize in round 1 are 1 in 15.
If you qualify for round 2, the chances of receiving a prize in round 2 are 1 in 24.
If you qualify for round 3, the chances of receiving a prize in round 3 are 1 in 33.

If your score is high enough to be placed in round 1 and you do not win a prize, you are then placed in round 2. If you still do not win a prize in round 2, you are then placed in round 3 for a last chance of winning. The same thing happens if your high score initially places you in round. 2.

A member that plays the featured game and qualifies will have their account number placed in each round they qualify for.  A random number generator will choose the winning account number for each round.

A members highest attained score will be the one that determines what round they are placed in, all other multiple scores from the same member will be not be counted.

All winners will be required to answer an online, time based, skill based  question to comply with the legal requirements for contests.

If a winning member is unable to complete the skill testing question in the allotted time, they will forfeit their prize and another account number will be picked from the remaining qualifying account numbers.

This will continue until all prizes have been awarded.

We will post an updated qualifying list on a regular basis and have a link to all scores for the featured game for everyone to browse.

We are trying very hard to make BigMoneyArcade.com an enjoyable place to play some games and have a fair opportunity to use your skill at flash games, to win a cash prize.

It will be a simple mathematical question and you will have ample time to answer it. Skill must be required to win a contest if the winners are drawn at random in many counties including Canada and the USA.

So to confirm, your score will qualify you for a lottery to win a prize, and prizes will no longer be based upon your score alone?

Yes this is a temporary solution to a complicated problem.

It means for the time being honest players with good skills will for sure have a chance at receiving a prize, which has not always been the case with the current system.

Once we have finalized our new security and anti-cheat software we will once again go to the system high scores receive the prizes.

I understand and even accept this temporary system .

Admin edit...many people will prefer the "old" system returned.

It is only my opinion, in any I way agree that these measures had to be taken because of who is cheating.

What's the game? All I see is "Coming today" on the homepage, since yesterday.

I like this game. But I have now played twice, and the only way I have lost lives, is when you get the Well Done message come up at the end of a completed level & a second later it says Out of Time. Even when the time-meter is almost completely full, and I used used a time power up to make sure!
